The last few days have been full of goodbyes for us, which makes today’s podcast particularly timely.

Believe it or not, there are some good parts about goodbyes and in this episode, we share four of them we hope you’ll find encouraging no matter what kind of goodbye you are saying today or are facing in the future.

In our study for the podcast we looked up the origin of the word “goodbye.”  It comes from a phrase people would say as friends would leave: “God be with Ye.” Over time it became “Goodbye.”

We like that, don’t you? It tells us that goodbye doesn’t have to mean a severance of a relationship. It is wishing God’s protection, love and blessing to go with you.

No matter what difficulties you face right now – and no doubt that’s the difficulty of goodbye for many of you – we hope you’ll be encouraged by the thoughts we share about the good parts of goodbye.

We hope you’ll take time to listen to our show and share your thoughts either in a comment below or in our Facebook Group, Meanwhile Moments.
