The God of Second Chances

The story below comes from April B. and is a testimony God’s grace even when we don’t deserve it.

It took going to jail for me to realize just how real God is. I was facing up to 30 years for drug-related charges yet through prayer and faith alone when I was declared not guilty!  

I had been incarcerated for five months and was waiting to be indicted and sentenced when, out of nowhere, the DA decided to drop all charges and release me. God is still in the miracle working business and I am living proof! The county I live in has a 99% conviction rate. Only God could have done that; there is no other explanation. I tried for so long to do it by myself and I finally just stopped resisting Him and decided to work with Him!

I’ve been to jail, institutions, and I was heading for death, but by His grace alone, I have absolutely no record, no visible disabilities, and am still alive. 

I have totaled four vehicles that I can remember and never been hospitalized due to injuries. I used drugs heavily throughout my entire pregnancy and my son is absolutely perfect. He didn’t even have any complications when he was born!

Having him was a miracle in itself because I was told I couldn’t have children. I had  overdosed more times than I can count on my hands and toes, and the list of his faithfulness just goes on and on and on.

Those are just a few of the BIG ways that he has shown up and shown out in my life and He continues to bless me daily!

Praise Him Who is a God of second chances!
