Prayers for Now and Later

Prayers for Now and Later

The story below comes from Sandra T. and is a testimony of answered prayers with yet the need for more prayers.

My grandson was born with Hirschsprungs disease with less than eight inches of working intestine. Last January,at three years old,  he had a mycotic brain aneurysm and the doctors gave us very little hope. Blaklee was in a coma for 11 days , had three brain surgeries in the first three days.

His doctors would be discouraged, but my son and daughter-in-law as well as myself would encourage them to hang on because we knew God had great plans for Blaklee.  We had said all along that God had not finished with him yet and when he woke up it would be like a freight train coming in the room.

On the 11th day he woke up and asked for his daddy. Blaklee had paralysis on his left side of his body. We started a prayer wall in his room and we had a doctor and a few nurses that would come and pray with us for Blaklee’s recovery.

What should have been a six-month hospital stay was only 37 days and we were home and most grateful to our heavenly Father for his favour. Blaklee still has slight paralysis on his left side and is yet able to walk on his own. But the really good news is God never let’s something bad happen without something good coming from it.

We were told Blaklee would need a liver colon and intestinal transplant and that he would be put at the top of the transplant list. So in January he went to Nebraska for DNA testing and several other tests to find a match. We were also able to raise three thousand dollars for the trip. Better yet, he went from a 40 percent survival rate to 80 percent. We still have many hurdles, but I have no doubt that God will see us through.
